Research School and Workshop
The Research School and Workshop on Mathematical Modeling of Self Organization in medicine, biology and ecology MMSEOR2022 is the second edition of a conference dedicated to self-organization phenomena occurring at micro and macro scale in different contexts of life sciences.
The first edition MMSEOR2017 was held in Giardini Naxos (ME) in September 2017.
The interaction among biology, ecology, medicine and mathematics has recently become an interdisciplinary science. The interest towards bio-mathematical modeling is undergoing a rapid growth, stimulated by the requirement to create tight links among theoretical models, computational tools and experimental observations.
The aims of the MMSEOR2022 are:
- to promote the interaction between scientists coming from different fields;
- to create an international network in which could merge theoretical, computational and experimental experts;
- to create and stimulate new scientific collaborations.
MMSEOR2022 will encompass a Research School and a Workshop.
During the Research School the invited lecturers will introduce the main mathematical methods and tools needed to characterize pattern dynamics and will illustrate some key results obtained in various fields of Life Sciences.
During the Workshop oral sessions will be organized, where the invited speakers, young researchers and PhD/postdoc students will present the results of their research activity, share information and interact with recognized experts.
